36 Crazyfists Heading To Krank’d Up 2015

Krank’d Up started as a small festival 3 years ago to cater for the metal and hard rock scene of South Africa. They had big dreams and from the get-go you could see they were doing things right. After a hugely successful Krank’d Up 2014, with show-liners like Protest The Hero and Unearth, and you can start to see how those big dreams are becoming reality.

A couple of days after releasing dates for the 2015 festival, you would think they would tease the public and their fan base with a couple of announcements of which SA bands would play the festival… But NO, you would be wrong. Unlike other festivals, Krank’d up is ready to step up to the plate, play in the big leagues and not piss with the puppies anymore.

To show how serious they are about kicking ass and taking names, they have gone and released an international act and it is top-class melting- your-face news. They got… metalcore heavyweights 36 Crazyfists!!! “Sweet Sisters of Medusa!” was my first reaction. If Krank’d Up can start their announcements like this, imagine how they will finish their line-up for the 2015 festival.

If you do not know who 36 Crazyfists are, my heart bleeds for you. A short tutorial should sort that out; 36 Crazyfists are a metalcore quartet from Anchorage, Alaska (of all places) and are renowned for their cult following the world over. They have tons of experience with a reputation as one of the best live acts and hardest working bands out there. To get an idea why they are classified as one of the big dogs of international metal, just check who they have shared stages with: Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, Poison The Well and Primus. For good measure, CF36 played at Download 2010 (to rave reviews) and are set to return again this year.

So don’t you dare be lame and opt to stay at home, wasting your life away on Insti. Rather get some tickets ASAP to one of the fastest growing festivals in SA. Satisfaction guaranteed. The festival has two massive stages each year, featuring SA’s best in alternative, hard rock and metal teaming up with massive international acts. Sponsors include the yummiest of herbal concoctions, Jägermeister and the best in sound equipment sponsors, Music Connection. Queue absolute rollicking bedlam.
